All ages from toddlers to grand parents are welcome to smile for the time travel camera.
What exactly are you getting? Each Wayback session consists of hair set and style, complete makeup application, at least 1 wardrobe change, black and white photography shoot, photo editing sent to your personal email and printed copies of final edited photos.
Each Wayback session is a work of art. Do not expect to be rushed or hurried along...we are going to take our time and make sure everything is spot on. Please leave yourself plenty of time when booking your Wayback session.
Do spend some time of your own looking at historical images from the wartime era. Save a few photos of hairstyles or fashion icons that tickle your fancy. If you need to make a list of "thumbs down" particulars, that is also helpful in deciding your own personal look to be captured.
Please do not fret over your outfit and accessories. All photography is done in black and white only, so colors do not need to match. If you already own a marvelous vintage frock...bring it along! If you dearly wish to wear your great grandmother's pearls...bring them! Wayback does have several CLEANED wardrobe options for you to borrow.

FAQ
Should I wash my hair right before my session?
No, please, day old hair is much easier to get to cooperate.
If your hair type tends to get very oily, very quickly...please wash your hair the night before.
Do I bring my own makeup?
Not necessarily
If you have extremely sensitive skin or skin allergies, please explain your personal situation via email when booking. Otherwise all products needed are provided, CLEAN, and safe.
Do I get to pick out my look?
Absolutely!
Wayback sessions are unique to you. You are welcome to ask for guidance or suggestion if you need.
Can I wear my look afterwards to work?
The makeover process is specifically applied to benefit black and white photography. You will look amazing through the camera lens...but not so much in natural lighting. This special makeover would not appear "normal" out in public. You will definitely be given the opportunity to cleanse and remove your makeup.
Do I need vintage shoes?
Not necessary
Your Wayback session will be a portrait shoot unless you specifically request a full body pose.
Do I need to go buy a vintage dress?
Not necessary
When deciding on a particular look to be inspired by, please remember the timeless basics in fashion. For example, a garment with a simple neckline in a basic color is a perfect foundational start.
Luckily, in b/w photography the colors loose their importance. The textures and lay of the fabric is more important.
Wayback Artistry does have several wardrobe pieces and accessories available to enhance your look.
What if I don't want my daughter to have ALL that makeup on?
You are the boss!
Wayback sessions for children under 16 years old will not be made up in any way that is not age appropriate, or that would go against their parent's wishes. All time travelers under 18 years old must be accompanied by their parent or guardian during their session.
Can you do me and my friends all together?
The Wayback session is completely personalized and takes a while to complete. Please communicate via email any special requests or needs before booking a session. Special accommodations will always be considered.
